We invite you to join us for the third year of the Festival No.6. Truly a festival unlike any other, No.6 is an intimate, bespoke weekend of music, arts and culture, set in and around the most stunning festival site you will ever see. Our first two years received rave reviews and awards including Best New Festival and Best Small Festival and this year will be even more spectacular. No.6 has quickly become a cornerstone of the UK festival season, and we're determined that the third No.6 will be the best yet. Festival No.6 takes place over the weekend of 4-7 September in the magical village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of the cult TV series The Prisoner.
The award-winning Festival No.6 is set in and around the unique, fantasy location of Portmeirion, the most jaw-droppingly stunning festival site you will ever see. Our stage is an Italianate-inspired Welsh coastal village, and the sea, mountains and forests are our perimeter fences. Much more than simply a beautiful backdrop, Portmeirion is the inspiration for No.6 and the village… The surrounding woods come alive with a unique series of inspiring venues, hosting everything from intimate performances from iconic bands to engaging and enlightening talks, surreal street theatre to immersive interactive experiences, all woven together to create a magical festival experience like no other.
At Festival No.6 we pride ourselves on curating a bill that combines a unique mix of iconic legends and the freshest up and coming bands with a stunning DJ line-up that mixes cutting edge young talent with true dance floor legends.
This year we’re hugely excited to bring you one of Britain’s most iconic and critically acclaimed acts, Pet Shop Boys, with their incredible live show, plus the mighty Beck, who is making a very rare UK festival appearance. We’re delighted to welcome back London Grammar after their monumental year and we are proud to have announced Motown legends Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Bonobo, Jon Hopkins, Neneh Cherry with Rocketnumbernine, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, The Undertones, Temples, Steve Mason, Tom Vek, Peter Hook & The Light, Spector and Jimi Goodwin, plus more to come. Our brilliant DJ bill includes the legendary Laurent Garnier, nordic disco king Todd Terje, the mighty Julio Bashmore, Danny Krivit , Prosumer, Michael Mayer, Andrew Weatherall and more.
Arts and Culture plays an integral part in making No.6 an utterly unique festival. The stunning Portmeirion is transformed into a magical village full of brilliantly quirky venues like the Town Hall, Piazza, Estuary Stage, Cinema No.6, The Gate House (new for this year), Tim Peaks Diner and the exotic Gwyllt woodlands, with intimate performances from artists as diverse as Andrew Weatherall and Julian Cope to Gavin Turk and Jonathan Meades. Our handpicked partners, including Faber Social, Caught By The River, Heavenly Films, The Idler Academy, The Quietus, Walk The Plank, Finders Keepers and Salon London all help curate an impressive set of unique performances from inspirational, award-winning authors, poets, actors, filmmakers and artists.
'Festival No. 6 could rival Montreux as the most sophisticated in Europe’.
