Come join us for the third year of the wonderful, critically acclaimed Festival No.6. We have created an intimate, bespoke banquet of music, arts and culture in the most incredible festival site you will ever see. Festival No.6 takes place over the weekend of 4-7 September in the magical village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of the cult TV series The Prisoner. The first two years received rave reviews and picked up awards including Best New Festival and Best Small Festival. No.6 has quickly become a cornerstone of the UK festival season, and we're determined that the third No.6 will be the best yet.
Festival No.6 is set in and around the unique, fantasy location of Portmeirion. Our main stage is a Mediterranean-inspired coastal village, and the sea, mountains and forests are our perimeter fences. So much more than a beautiful backdrop, Portmeirion is our inspiration for No.6 and during the festival, the village and the surrounding woods come alive as a unique series of inspiring venues, hosting everything from intimate performances from iconic bands to enlightening talks and debates, surreal street theatre and impromptu interactive happenings, all woven together to create a magical environment that you can totally immerse yourself in.
We are working hard on curating a bill for next years Festival No.6, and over the coming months we will be announcing a unique mix of iconic legends, the freshest up and coming bands, and a stunning DJ line-up, an impressive arts and culture program including a wide range of bespoke performances, intimate reading and talks, exclusive film screenings, stand-up comedy, art trails, master classes, michelin starred chefs and some very exciting new additions for 2014. We're excited about the plans we have to build on the success of our first two years. Watch this space...
Festival No.6 is so much more than a music festival, with Arts and Culture playing an absolutely integral part. In and around the village of Portmeirion, unique venues like the Piazza, Town Hall, Estuary stage and the musical Gwyllt woods play home to a range of bespoke performances from acts as diverse as Andrew Weatherall, Caitlin Moran and the Brythoniaid Welsh Male Choir. Our handpicked partners including Faber Social, Caught By The River, Walk The Plank, Heavenly Films, Finders Keepers, Salon London and Don't Tell Stories all help curate an impressive set of unique performances. Portmeirion will come alive with intimate talks, film screenings, comedy, art trails through the woods, pop up theatre and much more. This is why The Guardian proclaimed 'Festival No 6 could rival Montreux as the most sophisticated in Europe'.
